Congratulation to Amber Millard who has successfully auditioned for the CADT Advanced Dance training programme and also RDC Youth Dance Company. Amber will be taking the place at the RDC Company whilst continuing to train and assist classes at WAD. Well done Amber!! I am very proud of you!

Great news for Sophie and Nathan being picked to dance with the England Tap Attack team in their Production number at this years World Championships! Very proud of you both!

Wow what a few months we have had!

Nathan Anson performed with Tap Attack at Move it, the Junior and Inter festival teams performed at the Black Country Hub Dance Festival at Forest Arts Centre. We have had two great workshops with members from Matthew Bournes’ outreach company and also a great contemporary workshop from the CAT programme from Birmingham’s Dancexchange. Our students were picked form almost 60 groups to be a part of the IDTA Midlands Chairty Gala to be held on April 17th and five of our Students have packed their bags and have attended the Tring Park Easter School. We will also be taking part in Walsall Academy’s Annual schools Dance Festival in June.

We would like to say a huge well done to Esmee Neal who has been offered a place starting September at Ballet Theatre UK. We are super proud of you well done.

And Finally…. we love to hear about how are former students are getting on in their careers and we are so excited that former Student and Teacher Imogen Brooke will be appearing in the Dirty Dancing Tour this year and we would like to offer a huge Congratulations to Drew McOnie who won an Olivier Award for Best Choreography this week! What an achievement! Amazing!!

An inspirational workshop for a bunch of our talented dancers took place this evening with members of the Matthew Bourne company. Students learnt repertoire from Sleeping Beauty and created work based on movement material they had learnt. It was a great evening filled with lots of learning and laughter!!!

Congratulations to Francessca Kennedy for winning the International Theatre Award for Theatre Craft Performers. We are all super proud!
